Coast Guard rescues man from boat in Rehoboth Bay

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – (AP) The U.S. Coast Guard has rescued a man after the 18-foot boat he was aboard capsized in the north end of Rehoboth Bay.

The Coast Guard received a call at 6 p.m. Monday from boaters said they had found a man in the water but were unable to recover him.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Indian River arrived on scene and pulled the man from the water.

The rescue boat crew took the man to a pier in Rehoboth Beach and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical personnel.
