Brief Synopsis:

Last week we heard part one of a discussion with Keith Koehler, Public Affairs Specialist for NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Mr. Koehler discussed the history and goals of the flight facility, as well as several projects currently underway. Those primarily have to do with the launching of smaller-sized objects, such as sounding rockets, balloons and un-manned aircraft that can rapidly perform many of the tasks normally assigned to larger satellites.

Mr. Koehler also discussed the educational objectives at Wallops Island - as well as the possibility of the growth of an aerospace industry, here on the Eastern Shore.

Today, Mr. Koehler talks about NASA's goals to return to the moon and the role that the Wallops Island Flight Facility may play in that vision.

This is part two of our interview, recorded in July 2007.
