Brief Synopsis:

Previously on this program, we spoke with Mr. Vincent DeMarco, the President of "Maryland Health Care for All" -- which advocates affordable healthcare access through the creation of an independent, quasi-governmental health insurance pool that would be accountable to the public.

In this program, Republican Senator Andrew Harris will talk about the other side of the national healthcare debate. He represents Maryland's 7th District in the General Assembly - which includes Baltimore and Harford Counties. Sen. Harris also ran for Congress in 2008, defeating incumbent Republican Rep. Wayne Gilchrest in the primary.

Later in this program, Sen. Harris will respond to criticism concerning his vote on a tobacco tax increase that Mr. DeMarco had successfully lobbied for.
