HARRINGTON, Del. (AP) — New Kids On The Block and Bryan Adams are among the acts scheduled to perform at this summer's Delaware State Fair.
Organizers announced the list of performers coming to this year's fair on Tuesday.
The other acts include Josh Turner with guests Dustin Lynch and Craig Wayne Boyd and Little Big Town with guests David Nail and Ashley Monroe. The state fair announced late last year that Casting Crowns would perform.
The Delaware State Fair runs from July 23 through Aug. 1.
DOVER, Del. (AP) — Organizers of the Delaware's Firefly Music Festival say former Beatle Paul McCartney will headline this year's event.
Wednesday's announcement comes a week after festival organizers announced a partial lineup led by the Kings of Leon and The Killers.
But last week's lineup did not include McCartney, despite weeks of rumors that he would be the top draw. Organizers said at the time that they were still waiting on final approval for the third headline act.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Wynton Marsalis is unveiling one of his newest musical compositions in the Washington area, featuring the blues with a full symphony orchestra.
Marsalis will debut his "Blues Symphony" Wednesday night at the Music Center at Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland. The performance with a 100-piece symphony is the culmination of Marsalis' residency with the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, organized by Washington Performing Arts.
WASHINGTON (AP) — A three-year orchestra festival is in the works for Washington, inspired by a similar festival at Carnegie Hall over the past four years.
The Kennedy Center is organizing "Shift: A Festival of American Orchestras" with Washington Performing Arts to begin in 2017. Organizers are announcing Tuesday they have received $900,000 from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation as seed funding for the approximately $2 million initiative.
