Los Angeles County Renews $10,000 Reward

On October 20, 2026, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors renewed a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects responsible for Taylor’s killing.

The reward had previously been offered in September 2023. The renewed offer is intended to encourage anyone with information about the shooting to contact investigators.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger said Taylor’s family continues to wait for answers nearly four years after his death.

“Jacob was only 19 years old when his life was violently taken, leaving his parents, siblings and grandparents with broken hearts and suffering unimaginable loss,” Barger said. “Four years later, his family is still waiting for justice.”

Barger expressed hope that the renewed reward would encourage someone with information to come forward, adding that even a small detail could help investigators resolve the case and provide answers to Taylor’s loved ones.

Family Continues to Seek Justice for Jacob Taylor

Taylor’s parents, Monty and Jessica Taylor, described the lasting impact of losing their son at such a young age.

“Losing Jacob so early in his life is extremely painful for our family,” his parents said. “His two little sisters are broken-hearted. We loved him beyond words and we ache for him every day.”

The family also expressed gratitude for the renewed reward and appealed to members of the Antelope Valley community to help investigators identify those responsible.

“This isn’t only about justice for Jacob or helping us find closure,” his parents said. “This is also about preventing whoever is responsible from devastating another family.”

Taylor is survived by his mother, father, siblings and grandparents.
