An Anaheim man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing another man to death when he found him in bed with his wife, according to Orange County prosecutors.

Police Respond to Fatal Stabbing in Anaheim

Anaheim police officers were called to a home in the 700 block of North Pine Street on October 24 after receiving a report of an incident.

When officers arrived, they found Nicholas Garcia, 28, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Investigators allege that Pinedalopez returned home from work earlier than expected that day and discovered Garcia in bed with his wife. According to prosecutors, Garcia was wearing only his underwear at the time.

The couple’s two young children were also at the home, authorities said.

Authorities identified the suspect as Ismael Pinedalopez, 34, of Anaheim, who faces a felony murder charge in connection with the October 24 killing.

According to the allegations outlined by prosecutors, Pinedalopez confronted Garcia after discovering him in bed with his wife. He allegedly used a pocketknife to stab Garcia, resulting in his death.

Pinedalopez was taken into custody at the scene, according to authorities.

His wife and their two children—a 2-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy—were not physically injured in the incident.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged confrontation remain part of the criminal case.

Murder Charge Filed Against Anaheim Man

On October 27, prosecutors formally charged Pinedalopez with one felony count of murder and a felony enhancement alleging personal use of a weapon.

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer condemned the alleged violence and expressed concern about the impact on the children who were present in the home.

“Violence is never the answer, and it is truly heartbreaking that these young children had to witness their father commit such a horrific act of brutality in their own home,” Spitzer said.

If convicted on all counts, Pinedalopez could face a sentence of up to 26 years to life in prison, prosecutors said.

The charge remains an allegation, and the case will proceed through the criminal justice system.
